Review of the SAEM Urban Eco Harakeke Firming Seed Eye Cream
"The moisturizing elasticity eye cream makes the eye area elastic and firm with highly concentrated extracts from precious Harakeke seeds harvested from pristine New Zealand" - the SaemI purchased this eye cream from Jolse since I wanted to take care of my eye area at a young age before it’s too late. The only reason I bought this eye cream is because I needed an eye cream and because SHINee sponsored this product. (I trust that SHINee sponsored a good quality brand). I never heard of this brand before and I wanted to try something new.
After using essence, release an appropriate amount on the skin and spread gently following skin texture. Pat gentle for better penetration.

(There were no ingredients list online, so I had to type up each ingredient from the product box which has a picture background and faded black text. I deserve an award.)
Phormium Tenax Extract - highest concentration of the formula, this extract comes from the harakeke plant in New Zealand and is known for its very hydrating ability on the skin. It naturally reduces puffiness, hydrates, and calms redness on the skin, making it a reliable ingredient for the eye area.
Calendula Officinalis Flower Water - obtained from the flowers of the Calendula, the purpose of this ingredient in the cosmetic market is to add fragrance into a product.
PEG-100 Stearate : created by combining naturals oils and Stearic Acid, a 'water-soluble ester. The ingredient is usually used as an emollient, emulsifier, and a moisturizer. PEG-100 Stearate is a highly comedogenic ingredient. If you see the letters PEG, it probably means that that the ingredient is comedogenic.
Carbomer : often used to stabilize the consistency and create a gel-like texture.

Scent :
The scent of the eye cream is a typical strong floral fragrance. This scent, of course, is to appeal to customers while having no real benefit. While applying the cream to my eye area, I found that the strong scent was slightly irritating my eyes and was making them watery. The brand did not think thoroughly about adding such a strong fragrance to an eye cream.

Thoughts :
The price of the product was a little high for the its size which is 30 ml. I would not purchase this product solely for its hydrating ability. If you are looking for an eye cream to help with your dark circles and/or fine lines, I recommend looking elsewhere.
After using this product for a while, I can say that the eye cream, which was supposed to remove the fine lines and enhance the skin elasticity to my eye area did not work. It had managed to moisturize my eye area for hours while not leaving a greasy film, but it did not do what it stated it could do. The Phormium tenax extract is the greatest amount in this cream, which is known for its hydrating properties greater than of aloe vera, but the exact percentage of this ingredient was never revealed.
What bothered me most of about this product (besides there being no ingredient list available online) was the unneeded scent. This is my first eye cream so I can't compare it to any other eye cream, but the synthetic scent added in is just necessary, especially for eye creams. Its strong aroma irritates my eyes within minutes of applying it.
